It’s possible that libraries are gonna be obsolete in the following years. You can carry all your books effortlessly - using any PDF-reading tablet.
It’s just amazing to think that I can carry all my Harry Potter books, Sophie Kinsella, Dan Brown, Twilight series, classic novels, Bob Ong and works of other Filipino authors, reference books for studying, even magazines and comics - all in a single handheld device. This makes me appreciate the fast-pacing technology even more.
Imagine, all students won’t have the burden of carrying thick books, or lacking of reference books in the library. Not to mention the cost and hassle of photocopying. Whenever the need arises, all they have to do is to check their tablets. How cool is that? Maybe they could also jot down and save their notes there.
If one doesn’t have a book, he would just say “pa-bluetooth” instead of “pa-xerox”, in just a few seconds you have the copy of the whole book and not just a few pages! :D
Schools should include tablet PCs in their scholarship programs. Maybe lahat mag-aaral nang mabuti :D
However we can’t just toss around e-books since they’re copyrighted and publishers would obviously want us to purchase their books… Also it would kill the bookstore industry :D
Anyway, what I’m just trying to say is that tablets are cool and bookworms will surely love it ‘coz they can carry with them their bookshelves anytime, anywhere :D
